Herb Santos, Jr. participated as a lecturer at the 2007 People’s Law School. Mr. Santos lectured on the Workers’ Compensation System in the State of Nevada.

The People’s Law School is a unique public information program presented as both a lecture series and a televised series. Designed to clear up much of the confusion and misinformation surrounding the law, The People’s Law School serves a valuable need in our society today. Since NTLA introduced this public service project in Nevada in 1986, The People’s Law School has continued to provide up-to-date information on the legal system, legislative process and specific areas of the law most affecting Nevadans. Diploma’s have been awarded to over 2,000 Nevadans.

Herb Santos, Jr., was re-appointed for a third term as a member of the Board of Governors of the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association at the Association’s annual meeting held in San Diego, California.

NTLA is an organization of independent lawyers who represent consumers and share the common goal of improving the civil justice system. NTLA is a non-profit educational organization whose charter strives towards three primary goals: to continually provide its membership with up-to-date knowledge and information through continuing legal education programs and Nevada specific publications; to monitor the legislative session in order to ensure that Nevadans’ access to the courts is not diminished; and to educate the public regarding their individual rights and responsibilities as citizens.

June 20, 2007; Sydney Australia

Herb Santos, Jr., traveled to Sydney, Australia as a chaperone with the Bishop Manogue High School basketball team. The team compiled a record of seven wins and one loss. In addition to playing basketball, the boys made new friends and visited many of Sydney’s attractions, including the Sydney Opera House, Bondi Beach, the Olympic Stadium and the AP Tower.

Mr. Santos was accompanied by Coach Rick Stevens, Coach Winston Helms and Dr. Tomas Hinojosa.
